IMPLICATIONS FOR THE FIXED INCOME MARKET¬ – INVESTMENT STRATEGIES IN A NEW INTEREST RATE ENVIRONMENT
With the open market committee taking place in May, the Federal Reserve System is strongly signaling the increase of interest rates. With implications for the fixed income market unraveling, it leads many investors to think there will be an amplified level of volatility in the market. In this panel discussion, we will address how investors should approach riskier assets as compared to the past and how they are reacting to changes with regard to specific investment strategies.


Speaker Bio
Robert Elsasser is the Director of Fixed Income Research with CTC | myCFO, an integrated wealth management provider that serves ultra-affluent individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and family capital needs.

CTC | myCFO serves over 300 wealthy individuals and families across the United States and internationally, and oversees more than $41 billion in assets under management or advisement, with an additional $43 billion in assets under custody and administration.

Bob joined the organization in 2006 and has over 24 years of experience in the industry. As the Director of Fixed Income Research, Bob leads the research efforts and recommendations associated with our clients’ implementation of fixed income managers within their portfolios. Bob’s primary responsibilities include fixed income manager sourcing, due diligence, selection and supervision.
Prior to joining CTC | myCFO, Bob was the Senior Vice President of Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His responsibilities included serving as the senior officer in charge of U.S. Treasury auctions, Federal Reserve investments in domestic and foreign fixed income markets, foreign exchange activities and capital markets analysis. Bob was also the winner of the Frederic S. Mishkin Prize for Outstanding Paper: “Treasury Inflation-Indexed Debt: A Review of the U.S. Experience.”

Mr. Elsasser received his BA in Finance from the University of Washington and his MBA in Finance from New York University.

Bob lives in Portland and has two daughters and a son.
