IMPLICATIONS FOR THE FIXED INCOME MARKET¬ – INVESTMENT STRATEGIES IN A NEW INTEREST RATE ENVIRONMENT
With the open market committee taking place in May, the Federal Reserve System is strongly signaling the increase of interest rates. With implications for the fixed income market unraveling, it leads many investors to think there will be an amplified level of volatility in the market. In this panel discussion, we will address how investors should approach riskier assets as compared to the past and how they are reacting to changes with regard to specific investment strategies.


Speaker Bio

Daniel Goldstein, since 1994, has been advising ultra-high-net-worth private families across Europe and in the United States on their investments, businesses, structuring, family dynamics, yachts, family concierge services and philanthropic foundations. For 15 years, he was director of a global Single Family Office principally located in Europe and with activities ranging across Europe, the US, Africa and India. Prior to that, he worked as the Investment Analyst on a two-person team managing a progressive investment portfolio of $1.25 billion for a US family foundation. He has spoken at and Chaired numerous family office, investment, family business and family philanthropy events around the world and has lectured on entrepreneurship and venture capital at most of the top graduate business schools in the US. He has also been actively involved as founding Board member of several international non-profit organizations.

Before entering the family office field, Daniel worked in finance in both the private and public sectors in the United States while contributing to non-profit activities in his spare time. He formed his first company at 18 years old, with 23 employees. Daniel is a citizen of the US, UK and Italy and is fluent in Italian with English as his mother tongue.

Daniel graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and earned two Master’s degrees, an MBA in Finance and a Master’s degree in Science and Technology Studies, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and both with honors. He was inducted into MENSA in 1996.

Daniel is an avid outdoorsman most enjoying scuba diving and underwater photography, sailing, snowboarding, competitive canoeing and trekking in any season.
